WorkSource kept me connected to the business world!

A quick note to say thanks for the help and resources that I have received through the Oregon Unemployment Department during my job loss.   I know you probably don't hear it very often, but I feel that somehow Worksource Clackamas kept me connected to the business world the 6 months that I was without a job.  It is not easy to move forward in a spirit of hope when the resumes and applications seem to all land in an obscure black hole.

I found all of the workshops to be a valuable use of my time, the teachers were excellent and cared about what they did, and I felt that they were there to help us know that we should not lose hope at finding a job, all in due time.   The opportunity to take a few classes at CCC was also a very good way to feel productive, build esteem,  and at the same time gain additional skills for the workplace.  I am happy to report that I started my new job today!

I also want to mention that with Anne Hargen's help and compassion, I didn't feel like just a number in a sea of unemployed people.  It is HARD out there, and fiercely competitive.  It just helped to know that I was not alone, and that there were people there to encourage me along the way.  Everyone that I have dealt with has been courteous, kind and professional throughout this process.

A very sincere thank you to all of you who work so hard to help us find work.
