MAKE YOURSELF A NEW AND BETTER PERSON!
Hello, I'm Linda Kinghorn, ex-G. I. Joe's employee for 23 years.
I would love to give my testimonial for this program. What better opportunity is there to become a better person, make a new and better difference in the lives of your family and those around you?
To better oneself is to better the community!
This wonderful opportunity for FREE re-training has helped me start to fulfill a dream that's been in the back of my head for about 10 years. The dream to become the very best I can be....and to really sit down and decide what I want to do "when I grow up".
How many people can say that they have a chance to go back to school in mid-life and have the schooling be debt free? I already have 2 boys in college that I have helped co-sign huge loans. With that in mind, it was impossible to be able to go to school myself and take out another huge loan.
The schooling opportunity has opened a brand new career of medicine for me. I'm in the Medical Billing and Coding 1-year Certification program at Chemeketa Community College in Salem. I have the privilege to live right by the school, put on good walking shoes and walk to school every day. In the picture that I've sent, this was my first day of school with my backpack on my shoulder.
Sitting in the classrooms every day, I've realized that I'm NOT the only displaced worker there. I'm NOT the only mid-life career change person there. I'm NOT the oldest person in the classroom.
I've realized that through this multi-cultural, very diverse group of individuals, I've learned more in the last 2 weeks than I have the entire year last year! Everyone in the classrooms participate in wide-range group discussions. You can image the topics that come up in the Health Care Career path. Medical Ethics, Bioethics, new sweeping changes in our country's health care system, etc. Even in the first 2 weeks, we've learned many ways to research medicine and be much more informed on the many aspects of healthcare. Through this research I've found that geriatrics and the aging brain processes are fascinating to me. I will want to continue down this path of medicine in the future.
So as you see, this opportunity could be very beneficial to you as it has been for me! Take the time to think progressively in your life to see what a new career direction or added classroom experience would bring you. THINK of all the new job and career possibilites you would have that you didn't have before! MAKE YOURSELF A NEW AND BETTER PERSON!
Sincerely,
Linda
